Keeping your equipment operationally safe
TC Spec have a test and tag service at the workshop or can come out onsite for larger quantities of carpet cleaning, cleaning and restoration equipment only. We are certified and licenced in appliance safety testing to the AS/NZS3760 Australian standard.
Price quotation is on number of units for testing, some onsite locations may incur a call out fit if outside the Launceston Metropolitan area.
Benefits of TC Spec performing your test and tag that set us apart from other test and tag companies, is if your equipment fails during the inspection and is unsafe to use we will troubleshoot and fix the issue during the test and tag service. If we are onsite and the issue is complex we will take the equipment back to the workshop.
Common failures result in:
- Cord replacements
- Plug replacements
- Switches and cowlings replacement or repair
To ensure safe operational use of your equipment we do a visual inspection of the complete unit for damage to switches, cowlings, power cord damage, plug damage and use a PAT Testing (Portable Appliance Tester) to check for earth leakages, polarities and amp draw.
Once the unit has been tested for safe operational use, TC Spec record and tag the unit with the next due for inspection date (generally 6 months unless you are using equipment on builder’s cleans which require 3 monthly).
